Britt Yap is a strong and compassionate wife, mother of two extraordinary children, and a respected healing professional certified as a Usui Reiki Master Teacher, clinical hypnotherapist, past life regression specialist, and breathwork facilitator. As an only child, she was born and raised on Maui and attended Kamehameha Schools on O’ahu from 7th-12th grade as a boarder. She received a full-ride scholarship for six years to attend Hawai’i Pacific University, receiving her BA in Journalism and MA in Communication. Prior to stepping into her purpose as a healer, she spent years in journalism, public relations, education and politics. She was one of the youngest magazine publishers in Hawai’i at the age of 23 when she started UPROAR, a mixed martial arts lifestyle magazine.
Britt was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis at the age of 21 and healed herself from the chronic condition that doctors told her had no cure. She now shares with others the things she did over the past decade to aid in her healing. To date, Britt has taught approximately 400 students who have taken her Reiki 1 & 2 Certification Program and hundreds of others through her other courses and offerings. She has helped thousands of clients over the past decade and continues to spread her vision of unconditional love, acceptance, empowerment and cultivating a strong mindset while understanding how to transform energy.
Britt’s ethnicities include Hawaiian, Chinese, Filipino, Portuguese and Puerto Rican; and her healing abilities were passed down from ancestors of all five backgrounds. Her teachers/mentors include Gerie Kalawaia, Yoshie Miakoda Chihara, Raven Keyes, Master Stephen Co, and Tony Robbins.
