Over the years, my work has grown in a lot of different directions—healing, writing, creating spiritual tools, supporting Hawaiian culture, autism advocacy, designing apparel, sharing stories, and building things alongside my family. Instead of keeping all of those pieces separate, I realized they belong together because they’re all a reflection of who I am, what I care about, and the work I want to put into the world.
So welcome to the new shop—a place where Holomua Healing Arts, Perpetuate Hawaiian Culture, High Vibrational Child, my writing and creative projects, and more can all live under one roof.
This one is especially exciting for me because it’s actually a return to something I started more than a decade ago.
I originally launched the Perpetuate Hawaiian Culture online shop through Big Cartel in 2014, selling apparel and products that celebrated our culture and encouraged people to proudly represent and perpetuate it. I ran the online shop through 2020, when life and motherhood required me to step away and close it down after my son was born.
Now, after several years away, I’m so excited to run it back!
I’ve brought back some of our best-selling Perpetuate Hawaiian Culture designs, along with new pieces and ideas that reflect where the mission is today. If you owned one of our original shirts, supported the shop years ago, or shared our message with others—mahalo. It means so much to be able to bring this part of my work back to life.
And if you’re discovering Perpetuate Hawaiian Culture for the first time, welcome! I hope you’ll wear it proudly, share the shop with your ʻohana and friends, and help us continue spreading the message.
The shop will also be a home for some of my work as a writer and journalist, including Harrison Miyahira’s biography, which I had the honor of interviewing, writing, laying out, designing, and creating.
His story—from growing up as a broke island boy on Maui to building tremendous success alongside his wife, Helen—is ultimately a story about perseverance, partnership, generosity, family, and refusing to give up. It’s exactly the kind of story I love helping preserve and share.
At first glance, Hawaiian culture, Reiki, essential oils, apparel, books, and everything else I create might seem like completely different things. But to me, they’re not. They’re all connected to healing, storytelling, culture, family, creativity, service, and leaving something meaningful behind. That’s why I decided to stop trying to separate all the different parts of what I do and instead create one shop filled with the things I genuinely care about. Mahalo for shopping, supporting my family and my work, and especially for sharing the shop with others. I can’t wait to see where we take it from here.
With aloha,
Britt
