Geana was born and raised in Maui, Hawai’i and infused with mana (life force energy and strength) from her grandmother, a Hawaiian healer, and various other members of her ‘ohana who have healing abilities. A mother of two, plus two hanai children, Geana’s passion is helping kids feel safe, seen and heard and provide them with a listening ear and energy healing to help them in all areas of their life including anxiety, depression and healing from physical and emotional trauma. Geana has always been open to the healing arts, but decided to fully step into her gifts in January 2019 after her good friend Britt Yap came back to Maui to teach Reiki for a few days. Shortly after, she opened her business Be the Aloha Healing Arts where she “specializes in helping families communicate to heal past traumas that have been unconsciously put on us.”
“Over the last 18 years, I’ve been a bartender and soccer coach here on Maui. This has allowed me to interact with people from all walks of life and people feel comfortable opening up to me. I joke that while I only recently got ‘certified’ as a life coach, I’ve been life coaching for nearly two decades now. I’ve been that person my peer group can come to for love, understanding and non-judgment while I help them work through their problems and find solutions.”
Geana also owns a clothing company and she and her family run ‘Ohana Crystals in Wailuku, Maui. She also holds certifications from CNHA (Council of Native Hawaiian Affairs) and Toast Masters.
